"Alternatywne rozwiązanie dla dodatków stopowych: zaawansowane powłoki ochronne niskokosztowych stali z zastosowaniem w technologii stosów stałotlenkowych ogniw elektrochemicznych".
 
[EN] PhD student-scholarship position in an Opus 25 project nr 2023/49/B/ST8/03265 funded by National Science Centre entitled "Alternative to alloying: advanced protective coatings for low-cost alloys for solid oxide cell stack technology".
 
Requirements:
 
  • Education: higher (MSc, MSc. Eng.) in a field of materials engineering, chemistry, electronics, or other related.
  • Professional experience: participation in a scientific project, attendances in scientific conferences for students, co-author in conference/journal publications.
  • The minimum required knowledge and experience: basic knowledge in materials engineering, laboratory skills, good organization.
  • English language skills at an advanced level – reading and active writing skills.
  • PhD student status (enrolled at Doctoral School).
Tasks:
 
  • Deposition of ceramic protective coatings by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) process.
  • Study of corrosion properties of stainless steel coupons with and without protective coatings.
  • Electrical characterization of coated steel samples.
  • Preparation of scientific manuscripts for publication.
  • Presentation of results at scientific conferences.

Deadline for applications: 29.02.2024 – 12:00, the results will be announced on 29.02.2024. The earliest start date is 01.03.2024.
 
Conditions of employment: scholarship 2000 PLN/month – 30 months contract.
